A little R and R

After our amazing Christmas, we needed some down time as a family. Scott had the rest of the week off, and since my parents were in Tennessee, we snuck up to Wisconsin just the 4 of us.  The weather was perfect. We were able to go sledding every day, built a HUGE snowman, and  walk on the ice. When we weren't enjoying the fresh air, we were playing board games, basketball, and watching movies.  It was so relaxing and nice to spend time as a family!

More presents?!?!? How lucky are we?!?

Some people use shovels or snow blowers, my boys use the bobcat. =)

Sledding fun

A beautiful morning

Ms. Hailey had to wear her sunglasses while playing in the snow. Can you say DIVA?!?

Merry Christmas!

Our December always seems to fly by. The first weekend of the month Scott had his company party in Milwaukee, at the Iron Horse Hotel, which I would highly recommend! The food, atmosphere, and hotel rooms were amazing.  I was so proud of Scott when his company recognized his ten year mark! Wahoo!  The following weekend we had our Ubert brunch at Busia's.  It was great to catch up with the family and watch the kids open their presents. Then came the Pavey Christmas...again great company, good food, and the kids had a blast! Ty and Hailey even received gifts in the mail from some elves in Geneseo(thanks Jason and Amy!) and some elves in Texas(thanks Uncle Burt and Aunt Vickie!) Christmas Eve was here at the house with my mom's side. My dad's cooking was fabulous as usual, and seeing everyone together was great.  Then, that same night we were off to the Uberts to exchange gifts. The kids were beyond spoiled and loved playing with their auntie and uncles. It was so easy to put them in their beds....But of course Santa came bright and early and both kids were up at 6. To say the house looked like a bomb went off is an understatement.  Santa went way over board, and I am not sure what he was thinking with some of his gifts(check out the pic!).  My parents came over for breakfast then came naps for everyone....at least until Tyler woke up crying, for 2 hours! Needless to say, Scott headed with Hailey to Papa's for Christmas dinner, while I stayed with my little man. Despite him  being sick again(yes two years in a row!) it was a great Christmas. We are so blessed and lucky, and being able to spend time with 4 great-grandparents, grandparents, aunties and uncles, cousins---- family, that was our true gift!

Ty and Hailey loved putting the presents they bought under the tree

Cookie Exchange!

Scott was so kind to take the kids out for a few hours last Thursday so I could host a cookie exchange here at the house!  YUM! I mean, how can one go wrong with wine and cookies?!?!?  It was great to spend time with my "mom" friends, and try all the delicious cookies! I can't wait to do it again next year!

Everyone had their own Christmas wine glass!

Some of our reds....Thanks Christina for the Lynfred suggestions!

Some "salty" munchies to balance our sweets!

It was such a great spread with all different cookies! There aren't many left on my tray....

Happy Halloween

Our week of Halloween was full of fun. We met the Foleys at Goebberts, carved pumpkins, Ty had a Halloween parade and party at school, and we even managed to trick or treat in the rain! What a week!

Busy October

To say that October has flown by would be an understatement! We have been so busy--birthday parties, Angela's baby shower,  Daddy Donut night at Tyler's school, Santa's Village, play dates and of course pumpkin picking! Scott and I even had a night out  to celebrate our 9 year wedding anniversary(15 years together! WOW!) Maybe things will calm down in November?!?!? hahaha!
I laugh every time I see this pic---Long story short, when Jen and I were getting all our kids ready to ride these old cars, Tyler and Jackson just decided they could handle it on their own(which they did just fine) and hit the gas pedal and were off driving! All I could do was laugh and hope they would come back in one piece!

The crew minus Quinn---What a fun day at Santa's Village with the Foleys!

I know what is on Hailey's Christmas list!

Tyler wants one too

After a play date we found out we were BOOed! Tyler was so excited!

Epcot

On Friday we went to Epcot. It was so fun! Tyler went on Soarin, Fast Track, and the Viking ride. Hailey just wanted to go on Nemo over and over. It was pretty cool, not going to lie. =) The kids completed an Agent P secret mission(Phineas and Ferb) and Scott and I even enjoyed a much needed drink. Then it was over to Chef Mickeys for our final character dinner. The kids were sooo excited to enjoy dinner and dancing with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goofy. It was a great time, and more importantly the kids faces were just priceless.

I just love this pic...they all make me smile.

Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney

We went to Animal Kingdom on Thursday.  Right away we grabbed a fast pass for the safari ride, but when we noticed there was no line we decided to go on it twice. It was fun to see the animals up close, and the kids really seemed to enjoy this the most. Ty went on the Kalahari Rapids two times, we all played in the Dinosaur play area, and then called it a day there. It had gotten so hot that we all were pooped. Scott and Ty enjoyed some pool time at the hotel, while Hailey and I enjoyed a nice long nap. That evening we headed to Downtown Disney.  I had no idea what to expect, but we had a great time. We grabbed dinner at the T-Rex restaurant and then did some shopping! So fun!

This rhino was right next to the vehicle. It was amazing!

I swear she was not harmed while we took this picture! =)

Scott and Ty cooling off on the rapids

This was so fun for the kids, and they devoured popcorn shrimp! I sure enjoyed my drink here as well.

When I walked in to go to bed, I knew I had to snap this picture!

Magic Kingdom #2

Our second day at Magic Kingdom was so fun. We actually split up for the morning. I took Hailey to the new Princess Hall(just opened that day!) while Scott took Ty to Frontier Land where they rode Splash Mt and Thunder Mt numerous times.  We all met up and enjoyed lunch at  Beast's Castle. It was quite an experience, and the kids loved that they had a magic flower so Ms. Potts could deliver our meal.  The afternoon got interrupted by some rain, but we had ponchos so it was no big deal! We went on all our favorites one last time and called it a day.

She was in awe. It was such a magical moment.

She LOVED Princess Aurora.

Eating at Beast's Castle! It was delicious.

This better not ever happen...or I am for real sticking Zurg on them!
