We had such a great week, but man were we busy! Hence the reason it has taken me a while to blog. Last Sunday I turned 33! My day was filled with love and pampering. We went to breakfast at Egg Harbor, followed by fun here at the house(we even made a bobsled run!), and then we went out for dinner. It was so cute, Tyler told Scott he needed to make my birthday cake...and when Scott figured out there wasn't any cake mix in the house he found the next easiest thing to make..a cookie pie. I am so glad that Tyler knows how to cook, since he was reading the recipe to Scott and telling him what to do....in the end it was edible, and I think watching the whole event unfold was the highlight of my day! The week was filled with play dates, school, registering for kindergarten(can't believe it!), etc. Then on Thursday night we had the rehearsal dinner for Bill and Danica's wedding. Kristen hung out with the kids, and Scott and I got to enjoy a wonderful meal with great company. Friday, well, it didn't start out so hot. Tyler was really whinny, and I just kinda chalked it up to me being gone the night before, him knowing we would be gone again, and excitement about Valentine's day. I called his school just to give them a head's up on his unusual behavior. Needless to say, about 45 minutes later they called for me to come pick him up. My gut knew this wasn't just overtired, this was something else. I raced him over to the Dr. and sure enough he has a nasty ear infection. So we went to get a prescription before I had to head out for the wedding. But his wonderful teachers dropped off all his valentines in hopes of making him smile. Once he got some advil and medicine in him he was like a new kid....which made it easy to leave. The wedding was so fun! It was a great way to end the week! For as crazy cold as its been, and all this snow, I swear the time is flying by!
