A little R and R

After our amazing Christmas, we needed some down time as a family. Scott had the rest of the week off, and since my parents were in Tennessee, we snuck up to Wisconsin just the 4 of us.  The weather was perfect. We were able to go sledding every day, built a HUGE snowman, and  walk on the ice. When we weren't enjoying the fresh air, we were playing board games, basketball, and watching movies.  It was so relaxing and nice to spend time as a family!

More presents?!?!? How lucky are we?!?

Some people use shovels or snow blowers, my boys use the bobcat. =)

Sledding fun

A beautiful morning

Ms. Hailey had to wear her sunglasses while playing in the snow. Can you say DIVA?!?

Merry Christmas!

Our December always seems to fly by. The first weekend of the month Scott had his company party in Milwaukee, at the Iron Horse Hotel, which I would highly recommend! The food, atmosphere, and hotel rooms were amazing.  I was so proud of Scott when his company recognized his ten year mark! Wahoo!  The following weekend we had our Ubert brunch at Busia's.  It was great to catch up with the family and watch the kids open their presents. Then came the Pavey Christmas...again great company, good food, and the kids had a blast! Ty and Hailey even received gifts in the mail from some elves in Geneseo(thanks Jason and Amy!) and some elves in Texas(thanks Uncle Burt and Aunt Vickie!) Christmas Eve was here at the house with my mom's side. My dad's cooking was fabulous as usual, and seeing everyone together was great.  Then, that same night we were off to the Uberts to exchange gifts. The kids were beyond spoiled and loved playing with their auntie and uncles. It was so easy to put them in their beds....But of course Santa came bright and early and both kids were up at 6. To say the house looked like a bomb went off is an understatement.  Santa went way over board, and I am not sure what he was thinking with some of his gifts(check out the pic!).  My parents came over for breakfast then came naps for everyone....at least until Tyler woke up crying, for 2 hours! Needless to say, Scott headed with Hailey to Papa's for Christmas dinner, while I stayed with my little man. Despite him  being sick again(yes two years in a row!) it was a great Christmas. We are so blessed and lucky, and being able to spend time with 4 great-grandparents, grandparents, aunties and uncles, cousins---- family, that was our true gift!

Ty and Hailey loved putting the presents they bought under the tree

Cookie Exchange!

Scott was so kind to take the kids out for a few hours last Thursday so I could host a cookie exchange here at the house!  YUM! I mean, how can one go wrong with wine and cookies?!?!?  It was great to spend time with my "mom" friends, and try all the delicious cookies! I can't wait to do it again next year!

Everyone had their own Christmas wine glass!

Some of our reds....Thanks Christina for the Lynfred suggestions!

Some "salty" munchies to balance our sweets!

It was such a great spread with all different cookies! There aren't many left on my tray....
